Unterschriftenfälschung Martins? Von wegen
"Wo war Martin am 9. Oktober 2001, was geschah an diesem Tag im Europa-Parlament?" - fragte zuletzt der Reporter Stefan Gehrer dramatisierend in der ORF-Nachrichtensendung ZiB2 am 24. November 2004. Martin sei erst um 16 Uhr 10 in Brüssel mit dem Flugzeug gelandet. Die Sitzung, in deren Anwesenheitsliste er sich im EU-Parlament jedoch eintrug, endete offiziell bereits um 16 Uhr 15. Also Manipulation, Fälschung? Die einfache Anwort: Es gab noch ein langes Treffen der Koordinatoren im Industrieausschuss.
Während dieses Treffens lag - wie auch in anderen Ausschüssen üblich - die Anwesenheitsliste weiter aus und Martin trug sich ein. So bricht auch der Vorwurf der Unterschriftenfälschung in sich zusammen. Der Beweis: Das Protokoll des Treffens der Koordinatoren im Industrieausschuss, während dem Martin am 9. Oktober 2001 seine Unterschrift leistete:

(a) Gas and Electricity Directives : decision of the Conference of Presidents
on ITRE's demand for a splitting of the Commission's proposal
Decision : It was agreed to allocate an extra 4 pages from the committee's reserve of 8 pages to the report by Mr Rapkay and Mr. Turmes
(b) 6th Framework Programme: list of communications
Decision : The coordinators took note of the list of communications accompanying the proposal for the 6th FP.
(c) STOA :
- Draft letter from Mr WESTENDORP to Mr TRAKATELLIS, on a request for
an additional study on the 6th Framework Programme
Decision : The draft letter was approved. However, the study by STOA should also include the experience gained by the Member States.
(d) Hearing on "Completion of the internal market in electricity and natural
gas": Brussels, 6 November 2001:

Decision : The coordinators approved the list of experts and suggested to invite a representative of the Spanish industry as well.
(e) Report on ITRE Delegation to Portugal (13-16 September 2001)
Decision : The coordinators took note of the report.
(f) Delegation to Sophia Antipolis (France, 29/31 October 2001):

Decision : The coordinators took note of the list of participants. A member of each the EDD and the ELDR group was invited to participate in the delegation.
